During the construction and installation of PPR pipes in winter, it is necessary to be more careful and take antifreeze protection measures in advance to ensure the smooth construction and normal flow of water. PPR pipe anti freezing measures
1. Dripping into a line
In severe cold weather, if the temperature is below - 5 ℃, turn on the tap slightly at night to make the water flow into a line.
2. Close the window to prevent cold
When it's cold, especially in the evening, close the balcony, kitchen, bathroom and all the windows of rooms facing north.
3. Wear clothes and hats
For outdoor water pipes and other water facilities, cotton and linen fabric and plastic foam shall be used for binding and heat preservation.
4. Emergency measures
For the frozen water pipe, hot towel can be applied on the water pipe and then hot water can be used to wash and defrost it. Do not bake it directly with fire or burn it with boiling water to avoid cracking of the pipe or water meter.
5. Evacuation facilities
The water pipe of solar water heater shall be installed with vertical anti freezing drainage device, and the water in the water tank shall be drained in time in ice and snow days to prevent the water heater from freezing. If you leave home for a few days during the Spring Festival, you should close the main valve of the pipeline and drain the remaining water.
Precautions for winter construction of PPR pipe
1. After entering the site, the construction pipes shall be inspected first to see if there is any damage caused by dragging, rolling and smashing.
2. Civilized construction shall be carried out in accordance with relevant national technical specifications or product technical manuals.
3. Cut the pipe slowly, and use a hand saw or electric saw to cut the pipe quickly.
4. Before hot melting, cut off the two ends of the pipe by 3-5cm, and check the inner wall of the pipe for cracks, pollution, etc.
5. Properly extend the heating time, and control the temperature at 260 ℃, plus or minus 10 ℃.
6. After installation, pressure test must be carried out before concealed laying or direct burial. The cold water pipe shall not be less than 0.9mpa, and the hot water pipe shall not be less than 1.2MPa.
